Kalki Turns Career Coach for Sayani Gupta

After working together in Margarita, with a Straw, actor and feminist icon Kalki Koechlin became pretty thick with her co-star Sayani Gupta. The two are often spotted together, and we recently learnt that Sayani often turns to Kalki for advice on professional as well personal front!

Post the release of Margarita, Sayani was flooded with offers and she had to pick between two films—Jagga Jasoos and Fan. And apparently one call to Kalki sorted her life! Says Sayani, "Kalki has been a massive support system. We are very alike in our thinking and have a similar kind of background—theatre—hence our approach towards work is also similar, although she is ten times more hardworking than I am. One thing that I want to learn from her is time management. She manages to do so much film work, theatre, writing, directing, events, photo shoots all at the same time so beautifully." 

She adds, "One of the biggest dilemmas as an actor I face is managing dates. When I was confirmed for Fan, I had already packed dates for Jagga Jasoos and another film for Dharma that eventually didn't take off. I called Kalki for advice and she said 'Say YES to everything, one or the other will get pushed, if not all!'"

Well and that's exactly what happened as while she was working on Fan, Jagga Jasoos got pushed and another project didn't materialise. ​Way to go Kalki!
