Is Jenifer Lawrence About to Play a 'Blonde-Bond'?

J-Law catapulted to fame after her role as Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games franchise.

It's no mystery why as she plays the action hero so well - she's got a bunch of awards to prove it including an MTV movie award which she won last week.

Now a film based on a book called 'The Last Goodnight' is in the works. It's written by biographer Howard Blum and is based on WWII secret agent Betty Pack. Or the 'The Blonde Bond,' as the Time magazine referred to her in her obituary.

And according to the New York Post there's an early frontrunner for the part.

Our girl J-Law.

The film rights were purchased by Sony for a large undisclosed figure. I'm imagining it's enough money to buy us all a hell of a lot of things. I'm imagining such a big lump sum that words are failing me.

Betty, who's real name is Amy Elizabeth Thorpe "changed the entire course of the war" by using her feminine seduction techniques according to bosses. In the Times obituary they also said she used the bedroom (ahem!) in the same way the fictional character of James Bond used his beretta (a type of gun).

Sounds like a challenge to nail this complicated character even for Jennifer. But we've no doubt she'll step up if it is her that's selected.

We're already keen to book seats in the cinema for this one. And if you want to read the book it's out April 12th!
