Before she began training at an acting school in Mumbai, Kareena pursued a three month course in microcomputers at Harvard University in the United States.
Kareena has an interesting story behind her name. Her mother Babita was reading a novel titled Anna Karenina when she was expecting her, and it was the title of the book that inspired her to name her daughter Kareena.
She's a yoga fanatic and considers it the best work out for her. She can do 50-60 surya namaskars in one go and can hold difficult poses for more than 30 seconds.
Kareena has always made unconventional film choices, right from the start of her career. She turned down glamour-oriented Kaho Na Pyaar Hai for performance-oriented Refugee and has done some other prettay path-breaking movies including Chameli, Heroine and Omkara.
She has co-authored a few books including Don't Lose Your Mind, Lose Your Weight with Rujuta Diwekar, The Style Diary of a Bollywood Diva with Rochelle Pinto, and was the first Indian actress to launch her own clothing line for women with a retail chain. Whoa!
We bet you didn't know this one. Kareena sang a song (Jab Nahi Aaye The) for her movie Dev, and proved she's an awesome singer too.
