  • Robert lied about his education, to bag the famous Cedric Diggory role, in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

He was hoping that casting agents would believe that, he attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. One of the most prestigious of such institutions! He also lied, saying he attended Oxford University, which he did not.

But it's safe to say, that everybody clearly knows who he is now, after his infamous role in the Twilight series.

  • What does this gorgeous hunk have to lie about? Doesn't he have the whole package already?

You know how people lie about their age? Everybody wants to be taller than they seem. But Chris did the opposite. He lied that he was shorter, to land several roles, including Owen Chase, in In the Heart of the Sea.

"There are certainly things I've wanted to go up for which I've been totally wrong for, physically. And I normally lie about my height and say I'm shorter," he said.

  • Everybody is guilty of this one, we bet. Don't you put on a posh accent, if you travel to London, or an American one, if you travel to the US?

Well, Chloe lie about her background, to get the role of Asa Butterfield, in Hugo.

The director wanted someone British for the role, so she simply put on a fake accent, for her audition.

"I had to lie to him and tell him I was British. I was like, ahh, 13 years old and was all 'OK I'll try to do this,'" she said.

  • Katrina, did the same as Kangana, and lied about her age. What's with women shying away from their age? You look young, and fit AF, so how does it matter how old you are?

In an interview, Katrina said that she was eight years old, when the Berlin Wall fell. A little brush up on your history, it fell in 1989, which means she was born in 1981. But on record, she put her birth year as 1984. So what is her real age?

  • What's with the Hemsworth brothers, having reasons to lie?

With his super-hot, athletic build, it's easy to believe that Liam, excels in literally EVERY sport. However, he didn't quite master Volleyball. Like he said he did, to bag a role in The Last Song. During his audition, he told the producers that he was a volleyball superstar. But when the day came around to film the volleyball scene, in the film, it was pretty easy to figure out that Liam had lied.

But, he did meet the love of his life, Miley Cyrus on the very same sets. So guess the lie was worth it.

  • This incredibly, attractive and talented actor, too lied about her age. But it was to get her first gig, so she did what she had to do.

Young Mila, wanted to become an actor, and auditioned for That 70's Show, when she was just 14. And knowing that her age might work against her, she told the producers that she was "going to be 18", but she slyly left out the part, that it was going to be in four years! So she got the role, and played her character so perfectly that no one could ever replace her.

  • Morgan Freeman has bagged countless movie roles, with his incredible talent. And he's also been called upon to narrate films, with his deep, resonant voice.

On one such occasion, when he was called to narrate Oblivionstarring Tom Cruise. He wasn't quite satisfied, and wanted something bigger. So he lied to the director, saying that he was having some issues with his throat. So instead of replacing him, because you know, it's Morgan Freeman! They gave him a part with some screen time, which ended up being a pretty large part of the film.

  • So far, we've given you examples where actors have lied about their age, to seem younger. (Except Mila, but she was a teen, and they always wanted to seem older, so that doesn't count).

But Sandra Bullock, said she was a few years older than she actually was, since she was after a part of an older scientist, in Love Potion

  • 9. But it all worked out, because she got the part, and became one of Hollywood's most beloved actors.

And damn, has she maintained herself well! We still couldn't guess her age.

  • Almost all female actors lie about their age, and so did the 'Queen'. She claimed to be 22, when in fact her passport said, 28. But the incident happened in 2009, so she is older now.

Like they say, never ask a woman, her age.
