Deepika Padukone

One of the most successful leading ladies in Bollywood, Deepika Padukone was born in Copenhagen on 5 January 1986 and raised in Bangalore. Her parents are- former professional badminton player Prakash Padukone (father) and travel agent Ujjala (mother). Her younger sister, Anisha, is a golfer by profession. She made her acting debut in Bollywood with Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om (2007).

Deepika had been inclined towards badminton from a very young age and wanted to pursue a career as a professional player. However, she tried a little modelling and appeared in a couple of advertising campaigns. The rest is Bollywood history. In no time, Deepika began to receive offers for film roles. According to her, it was her role in the 2012 romantic drama film Cocktail that marked a significant turning point in her career. Her professional expansion began internationally with the film XXX: Return of Xander Cage (2017), her first Hollywood project.

The Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani actor got married to Ranveer Singh in November 2018 (We love their goofy Instagram videos). The couple have starred opposite each other in many successful films and will next be seen in the cricket-centric film, 83.
