Priyanka Chopra Jonas is an actor, singer, film producer, activist and global icon. In addition to winning the Miss World 2000 pageant, the Government of India honoured her with the Padma Shri in 2016. Born on 18 July 1982 in Jamshedpur to Ashok and Madhu Chopra, Priyanka married Nick Jonas— an American singer, songwriter and actor—in 2018 (Their wedding was the subject of substantial media coverage).
