Kiara Advani

Kiara Advani, born 31 July 1992, is predominately known for her work in Hindi films. She made her debut with Fugly (2014) and has worked on a couple of Telugu movies where she gained further success. Kiara went on to make her OTT debut with the 2018 Netflix anthological movie Lust Stories, where she received critical acclamation for her striking performance. Last seen in Abir Sengupta's Indoo Ki Jawani (2020), the movie was one of the first Bollywood films to release in theatres post reopening and amid the 50% occupancy guideline due to the pandemic.

Her family includes Jagdeep Advani (father) and Genevieve Jaffrey (mother). She has a younger brother called Mishaal. Born as Alia Advani, she changed her first name to Kiara prior to the release of her first film, Fugly, in 2014. In 2016, Kiara was seen in M. S. Dhoni: The Untold Story—an official biopic of popular cricketer M. S. Dhoni, former captain of Indian cricket team- one of the year's top grosser films. Her upcoming projects include Shershaah and the sequel of the 2007 iconic supernatural comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa.

She is, by her own admission, “living her dream life”, doing exactly what she has always wanted to do, ever since she was a little girl. And when the going gets tough, when work is demanding and the hours are long, Kiara reminds herself that she has “absolutely no right to complain because this is what I’ve always dreamt of!".
