You know, without you looking flu-ey or jog-ey. PS: this look’s so airport-appropriate!

How Do I Wear : Track Pants

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

1. THINK TANK
A top, in this equation, is simply the mayonnaise to the sandwich—it’s not why you’re eating it, but it holds it together. Your odds are best with a neutral-hued tank that brings the chalk-and-cheese elements of this look together without overpowering it.

2. STAVE OFF THE SNEAKS
A pair of chill AF kicks is a mug’s game (you don’t want to look like a soccer mom). A crisp, formal pair of platform sandals that match the hue of your trackies are bang-on. Embellishments or bling on ’em are a bad idea, though—they’ll look jarring and off-key.

3. BLAZERS ON
What’s wicked-hot about the blazer is how it turns the whole vibe of your track pants around. The key to pairing them together is to choose something monotone and tailored (never over-sized, that’s a touch lax, and too off-duty).

4. THE SIDES
Accessories are a bit trickier when you’re marrying casual with formal(ish). Err on the side of cool and androgynous with jewellery (a not-ornate watch is a big yes), and a bag that falls in line is ideal (no statement anything—this look is statement enough).

5. THE RAISON D’ÊTRE
Your look is centred around these, so pay attention to their silhouette and style. We like the narrow but-comfortable lines of Rosie’s tracks, and the signature sidestripes are less generic, more rainbow. Aim for something that’s a happy cross between sporty and luxe.
