The hottest looks from the CFDA Fashion Awards 2022

The Kardashian-Jenners, Cher, and the rest of the fashion world descended onto Casa Cipriani to honour American fashion on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). Browse through the eye-catching styles that were seen on the red carpet below—from edgy ensembles to sparkling gowns.

Cher

Every time Cher walks onto a red carpet, she somehow manages to (we have to say it) turn back time. The 76-year-old singer dons edgy designs that deserve a second look even today, just like the trailblazing clothes she donned early in her career. When Cher showed up to the CFDA Awards wearing a leather outfit by Chrome Hearts, all eyes were on her. It consisted of a long leather skirt with a thigh-high slit and an off-the-shoulder leather motorcycle jacket complete with ruched sleeves. She paired the outfit with equally edgy accessories—platform heels, fishnet stockings, a belt at the waist, and cross pendants at the hips. 

Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid wore a Thom Browne outfit for the event and made quite the edge style statement with it. The supermodel was dressed in pinstripe pants, a red, white, and blue jockstrap, a tweed jacket, a plaid check vest, and a white cropped button-down shirt. To top up the look, she went with a nose ring, a spiked ear cuff, and a pair of gemstone stud earrings. 

Halle Bailey

Halle Bailey was quite a vision in a baby pink Carolina Herrera number. While her one-shoulder cut-out midi dress with flower detailing was the star, she added contrast to the dress with drop earrings and red single-strap heels. She was serving looks for sure—Little Mermaid style!

Irina Shayk

Irina Shayk's red-carpet attire at the Awards was the definition of classy—she wore a subtle and elegant Nellie Partow outfit. It featured a cream-coloured high-waist pleated skirt with a black sleeveless turtleneck top. The skirt had a ruffled hemline and a wide belt with sheer patches on both sides. A perfect example of keeping it minimal, Shayk opted for a pared-back look with little to no makeup and few accessories.

Julia Fox

To no one's surprise, Julia Fox turned up sporting an outfit that can be only defined as "foxy". She was dressed in a black gown by the avant-garde Valerievi label from Milan. It had long sleeves, one of which was seamlessly attached to the long train skirt, and a mock turtleneck. However, the cut-out on the gown was clearly the centrepiece.
