Kareena Kapoor Khan Wore a 25-Year-Old Wedding Lehenga For 'Veere Di Wedding'

Besides a gripping story-line, the scenic locations, and the music that we listen to on loop, it is a film's costumes that really catch a fan's fancy. Especially, for a film like Veere Di Wedding, which has an ensemble cast of four ladies, one could definitely expect a kick*ss wardrobe that'd be awe inducing.

Rhea Kapoor, who is not only the film's co-producer and her sister's personal stylist (and real life BFF), but is also the stylist of the whole Veere squad. She let us in on intimate details about each iconic costume that was displayed on screen, through a series on her 'gram feed.

The actor looked gorg in an off-shoulder, embellished, yellow lehenga designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.

Kareena's wedding attire in the movie sure looks on-trend and has a very contemporary feel to it (yeah, we're talking about the baby's breath dupatta) but it is actually a vintage garment that was made 25 years ago, as revealed by Sandeep Khosla on his social media.

''Veere's wedding garment is actually a vintage garment of Abu Sandeep. It's something that we made 25 years ago. It was lying in our coffers...Rhea came to the factory and we started digging out a whole trunk and and taking out old pieces. So then, we just reinvented it. The skirt remains the same. The blouse remains pretty much the same. Of course, it was altered to Kareena's size. Then we created a dupatta and just modernised it slightly. At the wedding time (in the movie), everybody is in AJSK vintage, which is great fun.''
