5 Studies That Prove You’re Hot the Way You Are

1.No make-up is hot!
Last year, researchers at the Bangor and Aberdeen Universities in the United Kingdom gave 44 women different types of make-up and asked them to wear it like they would for a night out. They then photographed the women with and without make-up, and edited the pictures so that they had 21 pictures of women wearing different degrees of make-up. When the pictures were shown to 44 students, both men and women preferred pictures of the women with 40 percent less make-up than they had originally worn!

2. It’s about the base
According to New Zealand anthropologist Barnaby Dixson, the ratio of a woman’s hips to waist is what attracts men. In fact, a waist measurement that is exactly 70 percent of your hip circumference was found to be most attractive (think Marilyn Monroe). In earlier times, having a body like that would be an instant signal that the woman is fertile. Essentially, when a man sees you, he’s thinking: ‘She could have my babies!’ So stop trying to shed those hips—they’re biological boy magnets!

3. Ooh, that voice
If people have been picking on you for your high-pitched voice your whole life, this study will shut them up. Researchers at the University College, London, found that men were most attracted to women who had breathy and high-pitched voices. The projection is that such a voice goes hand-in-hand with a smaller body size (another attractive quality in a woman). Interestingly, women prefer men with deeper voices—it indicates a larger body size.

4. Just smile
Scientists at the University of British Columbia found that men were most attracted to women who looked happy. After getting 1,000 participants to rate photographs of the opposite sex on their sexual attractiveness, the study found that men find women who smiled attractive—ironically enough, women found men who didn’t smile attractive.

5. Average is good
Researchers Piotr Winkielman and Jamin Halberstadt found that we actually prefer mathematically average looking people. So, the more your face resembles what a ‘face’ in your part of the world should look like (a prototype), the easier it is for others to register your face...and find you more attractive!

Easy tricks to feel hotter RN!

1. Stand tall! When you’re standing and sitting erect, your brain is getting the message that you feel good about yourself.
2. Wear red lipstick! Men spend more time looking at your lips when you’re wearing red lipstick.
3. Walk around naked (privately, of course). The more comfortable you are with your own body, the less you care about what others think.
