1. On Instagram, I ‘Straightened’, ‘Sharpened’, increased ‘Brightness’, ‘Contrast’, ‘Saturation’, and ‘Highlights’.

2. Then, I used the Juno filter. Lark, Ludwig, and Mayfair are my other favourites.
Pro Tip: Use the Layout app for collages and Phonto to add text

1. On my phone, I first raised the ‘Exposure’ to brighten the picture, and then balanced it with ‘Contrast’.

2. I used the Afterlight app for ‘Clarity’.

3. Snapseed helped rid unwanted shadows.

4. Adobe Photoshop is great if you want to reduce noise and render a polished look.

5. Bringing ‘Vibrance’ to my photos with the saturation tool really helps them stand out.
Pro Tip: Tell the photographer to lower his camera or bend his knees—this will instantly make you look taller.

1. I used ‘Auto Fix’ in the Adobe Photoshop Express app for an even finish.

2. ‘Vibrance’ and ‘Exposure’ (used marginally) helped make the central objects pop, while giving an extra boost to the backdrop.

3. I finished with the ‘Clarity’ tool.

Pro Tip: Making your photographs recognisable by their style will keep your followers coming back for more.

1. On Instagram, I cropped the image, adjusted ‘Exposure’, and increased ‘Temperature’.

2. Here, I also increased the ‘white balance’. I like to use ‘Highlights’ for best results.
Pro Tip: I’m a Lightroom loyalist, but I think Instagram works best for phone pictures. I stick to the basics and avoid filters.

1. I used the PhotoGrid app to give my image a vertical border so it could fit Instagram dimensions.

2. Next, I used the ‘Reyes’ filter. I love giving my pictures a vintage-esque effect!
