Celebrate Galentines Day With Those Who Matter the Most — Your Girlfriends!

Chocolates, champagne, and candles — sounds like the perfect setting for a romantic Valentine's Day date, right? Wrong! This is actually the perfect setting for a grand Galentine's Day celebration. 

What is Galentine's Day, you ask? Well, here's the low down: A concept founded in the very popular comedy series, Parks and Recreation, Galentine's Day is celebrated on 13th in honour of the amazing women in your life. That's right — it's a day meant for expressing love for your girlfriends, the ones who are always there for you no matter what. 

So get your best gal pals together and have the ladies nights of your dreams. Here are a few ideas on how to celebrate your real S/Os: 

1. Potluck Dinner:

Food is the best way to express love and what better way than for each of you to get your fave dish? Get a couple of appetisers and drinks and your Netflix hooked to your TV and you're set! 

2. Ladies Night:

Go traditional and go hard — A lot of bars and pubs offer crazy deals (aka free booze) to women on weekdays. So, what are you waiting for? Let your hair down and have a girl's night out. 

3. Spa Day:

Think coordinating a spa day in the middle of the week is too tough? There are so many excellent services that will come to your homes and give you the best mani-pedis and massages! Add some champagne and chocolates to the mix and you have a part-aay! 

4. Game Night:

Have a good, ol' fashioned game night — and this doesn't have to mean boring card games only. It can be drinking games, too! Get your competitive edge out and win some sweet, sweet prizes along the way. And best of all? Bond with your girls. 

5. Sleepover:

What says BFF party more than a classic sleepover? Get into your pjs, bust out the snacks (and maybe some wine?) and start the life lowdowns. This is one of our fave things to do with our girlfriends — it's a great way to have fun and just chill, especially for those who have super busy schedules.
