Er, People Think Trump Fell Asleep During the Queen’s Speech...and There’s a Video
  • A video shows President Donald Trump seemingly falling asleep during the Queen’s speech at the state banquet on Monday.
  • Trump and his family are currently in England and were visiting the Queen at Buckingham Palace.

So, President Donald Trump is currently in ye olde England visiting Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and a very grumpy Prince Harry—and he and Melania attended a fancy state banquet last night. And guys, it was an event. Kate Middleton even busted out one of her tiaras and wore a dress that’s best described as a giant cloud.

And while things basically went fine during the visit (you know, despite the NSFW protests), people seem to think Trump may have fallen asleep during the Queen’s speech at the banquet. A video of Trump seemingly nodding off while the Queen talks next to him is going viral on Twitter, and honestly you need to just watch.

The video seems to show Trump struggling to keep his eyes open, before closing them fully, and then opening them again suddenly. And, yes, it kinda looks like he’s nodding off. But it’s also definitely possible that he’s just closing his eyes to take in the queen’s musings—you never know! Either way, Twitter is...doing its thing.

As of now Trump hasn’t commented on this sleepy video, but he seems to be having a great time in England, not-at-all-saltily tweeting “London part of trip is going really well. The Queen and the entire Royal family have been fantastic. The relationship with the United Kingdom is very strong. Tremendous crowds of well wishers and people that love our Country. Haven’t seen any protests yet, but I’m sure the Fake News will be working hard to find them. Great love all around. Also, big Trade Deal is possible once U.K. gets rid of the shackles. Already starting to talk!”
