Your Cuffing Season Horoscope, Because You KNOW You’re Curious

With the onset of autumn and the drop in temperature, many of us are in the mood to get boo’d up (even if in a weekends-only, nonmonogamous sense). Cuffing season is upon us, and from October to March, casual hookups are about to get a little more intimate.

What makes this year different from cuffing seasons past is that there are two major eclipses, two Mercury Retrogrades, and plenty of other potentially ~chaotic~ astro action that can leave everyone unsure of how to commit or if they actually WANT to date their cuff. Here’s what to watch out for, based on your sign:

Aries

The Aries Full Moon on October 13th forces you to put your needs first when it comes to love. Don’t despair! This doesn’t mean doom and gloom will come your way—only that you know what you want from a partner and are aware of your needs in relationships. Work will be at a high, starting December 3rd, when Jupiter enters Capricorn. You’ll be more focused on being a baller for yourself than for anyone else. However, the lunar eclipse in Cancer on January 11th, followed by Mercury, Saturn, and Pluto’s alignment on January 12th, allows you to canoodle with your one and only while you both take on an “us versus the world” type of vibe. Nothing can and will interfere with your relationship though—it’s solid as a rock.

Taurus

Orbiting an ex’s Instagram page during the Scorpio New Moon on October 28th, to check their relationship status will push you to send them a flirty text a few days later to rekindle the flame. When Mercury starts its retrograde journey in Scorpio on Halloween, you’ll shock yourself by texting your former lover (you know, the one who broke your heart) for what you hope will end up being a hookup. Trust, there will be nothing lax about this sexual encounter, if it happens. In fact, you’ll feel like your soul has been seen again—which will lead to a revival of the torrid love affair. When you recycle your ex this time, though, the Virgo Full Moon on March 9th can help you work out your differences and stay together for good.

Gemini

It’s been such a great year for romance—and the tides keep on turning your way throughout cuffing season. If you’re single, November 27th is the time to find your new boo. Committed? You’ll likely be popping the bubbly on November 24th with your family during your Thanksgiving vacation while you share MAJOR relationship news, due to Venus’s promising connection with Jupiter. New Year’s Eve officiates your fidelity and loyalty in your relationship after a night wrapped up in bae’s arms. The only dramz you’ll encounter is publicly sharing the relationship you’ve been keeping kinda private since November, during Mercury’s backsplash on February 16th (aka some friends might be miffed you didn’t tell them sooner!).

Cancer

While you often latch on to the first person you crush on, you’re learning to keep your options open during cuffing season. Being single will shortly prove challenging, when Jupiter enters Capricorn on December 3rd, boosting your Tinder matches and desire to partner up. The eclipses on December 26th and January 10th start an on-again, off-again fling that may come to a temporary dramatic standstill on January 12th, when Mercury, Saturn, and Pluto connect in Capricorn. The hard lesson you’re learning is that you don’t have to be in control all the time. Soften up your tough exterior and let love in without resistance. Worrying about protecting your tender and sentimental heart may force you to miss out on some incredible love.

Leo

Your heart tends to run hot. Therefore, cuffing season 2019 to 2020 definitely won’t fall short of your warm-blooded expectations. Venus’s ingress into fiery Sagittarius on November 1st adds pep to your romantic desires. You’ll feel connected to your ride-or-die on November 24th, when Venus and Jupiter align two days before the saucy and sensual Sagittarius New Moon on the 26th. The only foreseeable issue is the need for boundaries and structure. This will be apparent during Mercury’s backward spin on February 18th in Pisces, as lines between you and your partner will be blurred. Love heats up during the Aquarius New Moon on January 24th, bringing a possible relationship status change (like an engagement, if you’ve been dating for a while) by March 21st, when Saturn shifts into Aquarius.

Virgo

You’re normally low-key about your relationships; however, these next few months will make you want to shout your feelings from the rooftops. The itch to commit has never been stronger, and November 8th brings a warm, fuzzy feeling to your heart when Saturn and Neptune Retrograde collides in the sky. You’re especially lovestruck on November 27th, when dreamy Neptune exits the retrograde zone, allowing you to make moves around commitment. Feeling like hibernating all winter with your boo? That won’t be a problem. Jupiter enters Capricorn on December 3rd, forcing you two to spend the cold days ahead cuddling and boning to your hearts’ content. The Pisces New Moon on February 23rd brings the promise of longevity—if you’re ready to put a ring on it!

Libra

October 13th brings heartbreak during the Aries Moon. An intimate relationship may end; however, it will open you up for a fling during the solar eclipse on December 26th. Keep your eyes open when you’re home for the holidays, as you may have an all-night make-out sesh with your former high school crush on the DL. While you may think any new relationships have nowhere to evolve, January 24th will make you take note (during the Aquarius New Moon) of how close and intimate you’ve become with whoever you hook up with. The cuffing season comes to an end with a budding relationship for you, as Saturn enters the romance sector of your chart on March 21st, bringing the promise of a long-term commitment away with your boo.

Scorpio

The Scorpio New Moon on October 27th ignites a passion within and motivates you to reconcile with an ex or reach out to a former crush. Mercury’s moonwalk on your Sun from Halloween to November 11th will only heighten your desire to revisit the past and work on sparking the old flame. After a few cocktails, you may reconnect with a past love and ~finally~ hook up again. You may rethink your desires after mid-November, adding distance within the relationship by November 27th, as Neptune’s forward motion may force you to get a new prescription for your love goggles. Valentine’s Day will unite you both once again for a sensual romp, while the Pisces New Moon on February 23rd will move the relationship forward one way or another.

Sagittarius

Cuffing season starts out strong, as tender Venus softens your rough exterior on November 1st. Venus and Neptune square off on November 14th, exposing delusions in relationships. You’ll feel shook and confused by the person you’re involved with, as their actions will expose not-so-great behaviour that clashes with your high morals. November 24th will give you the confidence to swipe right on Tinder—but you may not find a bb who’s on par with your intelligence until the Gemini Full Moon on December 12th. What you’ll come to learn, by the lunar eclipse on January 10th, is that you are simply in love with love—not the person sleeping next to you. This may bring your partner heartbreak but also teach you never to settle in the future.

Capricorn

The cuffing season kicks off for you on December 3rd, when expansive Jupiter connects with your Sun, bringing luck your way. People will want to bond and connect with you—hitting you up from every direction, it seems. The only caveat to opening your heart to someone new is that you may be sweet on your ex. January 12th will push your hot new romance to the brink, as you discover your heart still beats for the one who got away. As much as you try to fight your feelings, you’ll discover your animalistic attraction to your ex and any new lovers. You may have two Valentines this year, Capricorn. Choose who you commit to wisely and with caution.

Aquarius

As you enter cuffing season, prepare to change your perspectives on relationships. While you may have recently opted to have a “bad bitch, noncommittal” attitude toward your casual hookups, you’re finding that your glacial resolve is melting away and you’re yearning for a more serious connection. Mercury’s retrograde journey, which begins on Halloween and lasts until November 11th, will make you the object of your lover’s affections—even if you aren’t a hundred per cent invested. However, you’re more likely to be over the Moon with lust by January 18th, when Venus aligns with your Sun, and in the mood to take your situationship to the next level by the end of cuffing season, when commitment planet Saturn orbits your Sun on March 21st.

Pisces

Friendship has the possibility to turn into a full-blown romance, if you play your cards right during the dreamy Saturn and Neptune connection on November 8th. You’ll be clear with your desires November 27th, when Neptune turns direct after moonwalking since June 21st. You won’t be able to hide or avoid your emotions toward your FWB during the Capricorn solar eclipse on December 26th. The lunar eclipse on January 10th will make you both level up on your relationship goals, even if things get testy two days later on the 12th. By January 13th, you’ll kiss and make up, which will elevate your partnership by the New Moon on February 23rd and very possibly bring a total commitment during the Full Moon on March 9th.
