The 'Bois Locker Room' Case Takes a Bizarre Turn : 'Siddharth' Is Actually a Minor Girl

In a strange and unprecedented turn of events, the Delhi Police has revealed that the screenshot of the Bois Locker Room conversation laying out a sexual assault plan was not from the Instagram chat group. That particular conversation happened on Snapchat, and the fake account by the name of Siddharth actually belongs to a minor girl, the same girl on whom the assault is being suggested. Allegedly, her motivation for doing so was to check the "values and character" of the boy she was chatting with. According to the police, the boy declined to participate in any such plan and stopped further communication. He, however, took a screenshot of the chat and reported it to his friends, including the girl about whom the conversation took place.

The screenshots of this conversation had gone viral on social media and sparked a huge outrage against the Instagram group of Delhi schoolboys named 'Bois Locker Room'. Obscene messages and morphed pictures of underage girls were shared on the group. Now, it seems that this particular comment about rape was never made on the chat. According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police Cyber Cell Anyesh Roy, "When these screenshots started circulating on social media, the alarming screenshots of this alleged previous conversation, shared on a different student group, was mixed up and shared with them."

Investigations regarding this case are still ongoing. So far, more than 24 students connected with the case have been questioned, and one minor boy and a college student (older than 18) have been taking into police custody.
