It is the mango season! And you can't have enough of it, you love to eat it raw in your salads and dig into the ripe ones whenever you can. To further sweeten your love affair with this king of fruits, we get you an easy dessert recipe that you can whisk up in a jiffy. Go, satiate your mango cravings and indulge the sweet tooth.
Ingredient
8 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp light brown sugar
1⁄2 tsp salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tbsp icing sugar for ducting
02 mango
Method
In a large bowl, stir the butter, brown sugar and salt until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Stir the flour until it combines with the rest.
Press the dough in a tray and sprinkle the icing sugar. Poke the dough using fork and bake at 180C for 15 to 20 minutes.
Slice and arrange the mango on the shortbread and cut into wedges.
Sprinkle some more sugar and serve
