This Couple Getting Married in Mid-Air Is Both Adorable and Terrifying

A wedding is always a day the bride and groom will never forget, but some couples go that extra mile just to make sure. There are Disney weddings and underwater weddings, but this wedding, held entirely in mid-air by Zehdir and Reshma of Kolhapur Maharashtra in India, might just win the award of Most Memorable Wedding as well as Wedding Most Likely to Make My Stomach Churn Just Thinking About It.

Both hiking enthusiasts, Zedhir and Reshma met each other while trekking outdoors and wanted to honor the roots of their love when it was time to tie the knot. Dressed in traditional Indian wedding attire, the couple was suspended 90 meters in the air, or almost 300 feet, using a series of ropes and pulleys (side note: do they make wedding harnesses?). From that height, they carried out the ceremony in full, including exchanging garlands.

The guests, however, were securely on the ground, watching it all unfold from below. According to ABP Live, the groom's main aim was the make their wedding "different," and luckily, this is without a doubt something the world had never seen before. You can watch the wedding in action below:

I can't help but wonder if this is only the beginning. Will their anniversaries be spent skydiving? Helicoptering? Will vow renewals be even more extreme? For this couple, the sky is (quite literally) the limit.
