A Man Changed His Name to 'iPhone 7' So He Could Get a Free iPhone

There are some things in life you look back on and regret, but we're certain this isn't going to be one of them for Olexander Turin iPhone Sim Seven - the man who changed his name to iPhone Sim Seven.

The 20-year-old from Ukraine saw an offer in an iPhone store in Kiev which promised to give the first five people who changed their names to iPhone 7 a free phone - so that's exactly what he did.

And you know, we can see why. The latest Apple smartphone is pricy; at £760 we can't all afford these luxuries. A simple swap of the name by deed-poll was surely the most cost effective way to go about it. Think how cheap his contract will be now he doesn't have to pay for the phone part of it.

iPhone's sister admits that, at first, she was disappointed in her sibling; but she's since come round to the idea.

"It was difficult to accept that and hard to believe it's true," she said. But she added: "Each person in this world is looking for a way to express himself. Why not to do that in this way?"

Hear, hear.

Just as expected, iPhone received his gift of an iPhone last week, and he's absolutely chuffed with it. What's more, he doesn't even have any immediate plans to switch his name back.

Now that's dedication. I like it.
