So, Remember That Picture of India on Diwali Night By NASA?

Yeah… AIB's got all the dope on it and as expected it's hilarious!

So this picture has been doing the rounds since a couple of years and we've always believed that it's a real image of India from up there, all lit up on Diwali night. Although, it's quite heartwarming, we hate to break it to you that it's absolutely FAKE! Yup, and it doesn't even represent Diwali… Double whammy, right?! Aand are you ready for the third strike? It is not even a real photograph! Oh yes, it keeps getting interesting, isn't it?

This 'creative' is about 12 years old (it's from 2003), and was created by Chris Elvidge, a scientist at National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to highlight the country's population growth over the years. Even NASA's Earth Observatory confirmed the same saying it's a colour-composite image created from satellite photos over time.

Watch the AIB guys reveal all about this viral image in this video!
