Here's How This Sikh Man Went From Being A Racist Meme to an Internet Hero...
#BeLikeDarsh
Earlier this year, Darsh Singh (who is NCAA's first turbaned sikh basket ball player and co captain of Trinity University) became a part of a racist meme that went viral online.
At this, Greg Worthington, who is Darsh's friend, posted this on Facebook:

This post went viral and garnered a lot of attention worldwide, with people commenting and sharing the post to show their support for Darsh.
This caused the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Centre to launch a social media campaign in support of Darsh Singh, called #BeLikeDarsh

Soon people started joining the campaign by tweeting their support using the #BeLikeDarsh, and turned Darsh Singh from a racist meme to an inspiring hero.
