You're working ALL of the angles and lighting options you can, but for some reason your selfies just aren't working for you. But before you give up on reversing your screen forever, there is hope for us non-model mere mortals.
One dermatologist has revealed there's an exact time of day people look their best and that's when you'll get your hero shot.
According to Doctor Julie Karen, the ultimate selfie time is 10am. Which makes sense, because by mid-morning we've already had two coffees (at least) to perk us up and get us in the ~zone~.
Although it'd be nice to think coffee was the key ingredient to giving us all a photogenic boost, it doesn't come down to caffeine consumption.
In fact, it's actually because your body temperature peaks around this time which increases circulation, she told Cosmopolitan.
"That gives skin a healthy glow."
If you thought an afternoon selfie would also be acceptable, think again.
Apparently, 4pm is when your skin has an arvo slump and your eyes will be showing major fatigue, so brighten them up with concealer before you even consider picking up your phone.
It's also not ideal to take selfies early in the morning or late at night. (Who in their right mind would do that anyway?).
Our lives will never be the same again.
