This is What the World's Most Expensive Donut Tastes Like

Unveiled at Selfridges' Oxford Street store in London, this Krispy Kreme deluxe doughnut costs £1,000 (INR 90,000, approx.)

Gilded with edible 24-carat gold leaf and 23-carat gold dust on the white chocolate lotus flower, the donut took three days to assemble.

This baby is stuffed with raspberry and Chateau d'Yquem crème, and Dom Pérignon 2002 vintage champagne jelly(!) and is definitely not the kind of fried sugary goodness you devour straight out of a cardboard box on your cheat day.

If you haven't developed Type 2 diabetes just by reading this yet; the donut is festooned with edible diamonds (yup. Legit diamonds) and topped with a passion fruit glaze AND Belgian white chocolate blossoms, ivy and butterflies!

Pfffft. And you thought doubling on two slices of blueberry cheesecake was indulgent!
