Author Ira Trivedi Shares Her Idea of Feminism

"The turning point for me was writing India in Love. As I wrote this book, I realised how so many women across the country were afraid of their gender rather than embracing it. This led me to telling women's stories and being an activist for their rights. Feminism to me simply means taking being a woman seriously. It means creating your own identity, respecting your body, your mind, and your intellect."
