Lonely Planet's Top 10 European Destinations To Visit This Year

​If you're the kind of traveller who prefers to steer clear of long-haul flights and can't tolerate jet lag, a European getaway is probably your holiday of choice. The ease of a Euro trip is undoubtedly a huge draw, but those who've been visiting the sunny climes of Spain,Italy and Croatia for as long as they can remember can soon start to feel a little 'been there, done that.'

Good news, then, that Loney Planet has released its top ten under-the-radar destinations to visit in Europe this year. The list, topped by idyllic Peloponesse in Greece, also features a cool Scandi city - Aarhus in Denmark - as well as an English midlands county you might just have heard of.
