13 Problems Everyone Who Hates Shopping for Jeans Understands

Is there anything worse to shop for than pants? At least when you go to the dentist, you get a free toothbrush. But all you get when you trek to the mall for a new pair of jeans is that nasty, triple-sided mirror staring you down. It's even worse when you order jeans online, only to experience the profound disappointment when they don't fit even the littlest bit. Don't worry, we get it, and so do these folks.

According to Twitter, jean shopping involves...

1. The dread that accompanies knowing you'll have to shop.

Because let's be honest, it's not going to be a fun experience.

2. The literal struggle of putting them on.

If you're lucky, everyone else in the dressing room will just ignore your strained sighs.

3. The obnoxious difference between men's and women's denim.

Seriously, why can't they be sized in the same height-and-waist way? And why do ours have so many weird names?

4. ...even when it comes to pockets.

What can we even fit in ours? A credit card and a Tic Tac?

5. The bizarre return of bootcut jeans.

Why have some stores sneakily started selling them again? Why must this trend haunt our society like the lingering scent of a plague?

6. The disappointment that comes from ordering pants online.

Will they be too small? Too large? Too...plum-like?

7. The frustration of being curvy while shopping.

If you have thick thighs, every pair is way too big in the waist. If you have wide hips, they're all too loose in the legs. It's a never-ending struggle.

8. The realization that life is so much better when you start shopping for your real size.

Due to body image pressure, it can feel upsetting to shop for your real size — but when it comes down to it, you'll feel and look way better in it.

9. The annoyance of being tall and having zero options that fit you correctly.

And being short makes shopping just as frustrating.

10. The fact that shopping on your period is basically impossible.

That's, like, a week when any shopping sessions are basically futile. And wearing white jeans is pretty much out of the question for ... well, basically forever.

12. The issue that trying to find your size in stock is virtually impossible if you're between an 8 and a 12.

And don't even get me started on sizes above a 12.

13. The remarkable blow to your self-esteem in the aftermath of shopping.

It hurts. It really hurts.
