Watch This Baby Wriggle Himself Out of the Womb During a New Birthing Trend

When you get pregnant, one of the most important decisions you have to make is how exactly to deliver your baby. Natural birth, water birth, Caesarean? There are so many options, and getting to pick the one that's best for you, all being well with mother and baby, will put you at ease as your due date creeps closer and closer.

The latest trend in childbirth is a mixture of natural birth and Caesarean. It's called gentle Caesarean or natural Caesarean, and the results are pretty intense.

Sophie Messenger – a childbirth educator – posted a video of her friend delivering her son by gentle Caesarean, and it's already received more than two million views and 30,000 shares on Facebook.

The video shows the little one basically delivering himself. Well, you can see him wriggling — or "walking" as Messenger puts it — his way out of a Caesarean incision. It takes a little bit of time, but he gets there eventually, and it's amazing to watch.

The benefit of the baby doing this is that it will help clear his lungs of all that goop that ends up in there during pregnancy and childbirth.

But be warned –if you're a little squeamish you might not want to watch the video. There's a fair amount of blood and other general childbirth-based stuff going on.

Messenger wrote alongside the video: "A friend had the most gorgeous gentle Cesarean yesterday-it was quite a journey because her local hospital refused to entertain any of her wishes, so she had to move to another hospital where she found the most supportive consultant (Dr. Andy Simm at Nottingham City hospital), who not only agreed to support all her wishes but filmed the birth to use it to educate other health pros. I especially loved watching the baby walking himself out of the womb."

Pretty incredible stuff, eh?
