The Best Braids From the Oscars 2016

Now we've finally chilled out about Leo, we can fully appreciate all the wondrous hair and makeup looks from last night Oscars.

Some of our favourite hairstyles from the red carpet involved braids and now we're determined to spend the next week watching YouTube tutorials until our hands cramp.

The Peekaboo Braid

Celebrity hair stylist Sarah Potempa created this 'peekaboo braid' for Lea Michele at Elton John's annual Oscar party. We love the twist on the classic fishtail braid tucked into a low pony.

The Multi Braid

We are #obsessed with Chrissy Teigen's voluminous multi braid, which looked just as beautiful at the front, as the back.

The Simple Braid

We know who to go to for braid lessons because Christian Wood who styled Chrissy's multiple braids also created this beautiful hair style for Sophie Turner. We love the modern twist of classic Hollywood waves, something tells us that Sansa Stark would approve.

The Halo Braid

We loved Olivia Wilde's classic take on the halo braid, très chic. We can only imagine how many hairpins are in that bun!
