Here's What Anushka Sharma Said About Deepika Padukone's Latest 'Padmavati' Look

While mainstream female actors today seem to be breaking the pattern and going all out to express their friendship with one another, there still exist a few contemporaries that make their "feelings" for each other clear, pretty well.

We're talking about Anushka Sharma, and her alleged cold relationship with Deepika Padukone. Besides a common partner aka Ranveer Singh to be romantically involved with, (we obviously mean at different times!) their cold vibes stem from many other instances.

And a recent event just made the scenario clearer. Last week, the first look of the much-hyped Bhansali film Padmavati was released. It was a poster of Deepika, in all her bejewelled finery as the lead protagonist in the film. A striking uni-brow, her expression and aura that screamed regal—the poster was an instant hit on social media, and it was all everyone could talk about.

Even Bollywood celebs went the extra mile to promote the look, and gave their opinion on the poster on their social media handles. While Alia Bhatt tweeted, "Uff, just died! Epic.", Karan Johar also complimented the look saying—

"Stunning!!!!! And immensely impactful!!! Sanjay Bhansali is back!!! Can't wait for December….. "

When an actor who reportedly doesn't share a very cosy rapport with DP was quizzed about her take on the viral poster, Anushka Sharma's gave a reply you would have never expected! Initially, the Phillauri star tried to dodge the question, by talking about something that seemed nowhere relevant to the question.

She said, "You know, the place where I was shooting today, there was ZERO network over there. But I was very happy about it. This is because I thought that this kind of a world, where there is no network..there are no calls coming in and no messages coming in..You don't know what is happening in this world. Is there even such a place in the world? Yes, there is such a place and I was in this place for a while. It is right here, in Mumbai. I was very happy, I thought, 'this is such a good life'."

Obviously, the media was not leaving it at that and probed her further for her opinion. Anushka's answer, laced with diplomacy, will have you scratching your head!

"So, that is why I don't know what has released today. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I have not seen anything. I will increase my knowledge a bit now. And the next time that I meet you guys (media), maybe we could discuss this a bit. However, for today, understand that I was shooting in a no network area where I did not get the required information."

Not only is the explanation for missing her contemporary's viral movie poster quite suspiciously in-depth, it seems a bit absurd as Anushka posted on Instagram from the same 'no-network' area around the time she gave this statement! Talk about 'no-network' eh?
