Taylor Swift had a scary run-in with a fan during a recent live concert in Edmonton, Canada. She was walking out on a runway that extended into the audience, singing "Bad Blood" when a man lunged out from the crowd and tried to grab her.
This isn't someone just reaching up for a friendly high-five or something. This video, captured by an Instagram user at the show, is pretty disturbing.
"Some crazy town grabbed at Swifty Swift tonight!" Instagram user allenavw wrote in the caption for the video. " Jeez buddy, keep your hands to yourself. Glad security was on him right away and of course, Taylor carried on like a pro!"
You can see a glimpse of how fast Taylor's security team reacts to pull the unidentified man away from Taylor, who appears shaken for a millisecond and then goes back to performing the song. Taylor is no stranger to incidents with unhinged fans and has good reason to be concerned about things like this. Last year, she filed a restraining order against a stalker who she reported had been harassing her since 2011. In April of this year, another man was arrested for trying to break into to her Rhode Island.
Taylor is fine after this latest run-in with a fan who doesn't seem to understand the concept of personal space and boundaries. Friendly reminder folks: Don't try and grab your favorite celeb, or anyone, really. It's creepy and disturbing and will probably not have the outcome you expect. (Not that you guys didn't already know that.)
