This Mom Predicted She Would Die During Labor, Then Died and Came Back to Life

A woman who says she had premonitions throughout her pregnancy that she would die of something unknown during delivery died and then came back to life, Yahoo News reports.

After Stephanie Arnold learned she had placenta previa, which meant her placenta was growing on top of her cervix, she says she started having a strange hunch that she was going to die. Fortunately, one of her doctors believed her gut feeling and kept extra blood on hand during the delivery.

Sure enough, during labor, Arnold suffered an amniotic fluid embolism (which doctors say is incredibly rare) seconds after giving birth in May 2013, causing her amniotic cells to enter her bloodstream and send her into anaphylactic shock. The process stopped her heart for 37 seconds and doctors say she technically died. Fortunately, doctors were able to eventually resuscitate her and she spent the next six days in a coma.

Arnold told CBS Chicago that the extra blood they kept on hand "saved my life. No question." She's now alive and doing well in Chicago with her husband and children, and has also written a book about her experience.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go pick up the pieces of my mind. They scattered everywhere after it was freaking blown.
