Mumbai Bans Selfies At These Tourist Attractions!

​Mumbai police has identified 16 dangerous locations for taking selfies and imposed a ban on it following the incident where of 3 girls, who were attempting to take a selfie near the sea in the Bandra area, fell off the bridge and a man, who had jumped in the water to rescue them died in the attempt.

On this, the spokesperson of the Mumbai Police said, "We will write to the civic body to put up signboards at tourists spots along the coast warning tourists and others that they should not take selfies as it is dangerous." 

Amongst the areas that have been included in the 'No selfie Sone' are Mumbai's famous Marine Drive and Chowpatty beach, along with some areas in Bandra, Mahim, Juhu, Colaba, Sion, Worli and Gorai.

Police will be patrolling these areas regularly and intercepting violators with warnings. The Municipality board is also looking to install warning signs  at the selected areas.
