You Have to See What This Doughnut Looks Like When You Bite Into It

It's a doughnut and a cookie AT THE SAME TIME.

You Have to See What This Doughnut Looks Like When You Bite Into It

If you have ever been to an Italian bakery, you know that their greatest offering is a rainbow cookie. (Some people call them stoplight cookies; this is incorrect.) If you've never had one, it's layers of marzipan dough and jelly, covered with chocolate. It is a dream. But now there is a dream on top of a unicorn, because a genius bakery in New Jersey is making rainbow cookie doughnuts.

I mean, look at it:

Glaze Donuts makes 138 different kinds of doughnuts but only offers the rainbow cookie doughnut on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Even if you're not familiar with rainbow cookies, how could you not want this?! It's three of the best words combined: Rainbow. Cookie. Doughnut.

NJ.com says some of owner Jule Hazou's other inventions have included Nutella s'mores doughnuts (yes, please) and prosciutto and cantaloupe doughnuts (maybe not). You can watch a fascinating video of how the rainbow cookie ones are made over on NJ.com.
