Could The Hound be Returning to Game Of Thrones This Series?

Who's ready for another Game Of Thrones fan theory then? Yes, there are a lot doing the rounds at the minute, but isn't that half the reason you love the show? The mega-fans come up with ideas that seem completely unfeasible, and quite often it turns out they're actually not that unfeasible after all. Yes, we're talking about Jon Snow coming back to life after being stabbed a million times.

Well, the latest fan theory is all about The Hound – that huge man with the big scar on his face who was looking after Arya until Brienne maybe killed him in Season 4. Arya refused to put him out of his misery after he lost the fight. And despite the fact that he very much looked like he was dying, unless you see someone actually burning, being hit by a high-speed train or getting eaten by a shark in Game Of Thrones, you never really know if they're dead or not.

Anyway fans reckon he's coming back for the Clagenbowl, which is a potential battle with his big bastard brother, The Mountain, who is currently working as Cersei's zombie bodyguard. And upcoming guest star Ian McShane has dropped a bit of a hint about our mate, The Hound.

Talking to BBC Breakfast, Ian said: "I bring back a much-loved character who everybody thinks is dead."

And seeing as Episode 7 of this series of GOT is titled The Broken Man, we reckon he's definitely talking about The Hound. Why? Well fans of the books will remember The Broken Man speech, which comes from A Feast For Crows when Brienne, Podrick, and Ser Hyle pause their search for Sansa long enough to take sanctuary at a monastery run by a man named Septon Meribald. There, Brienne notices a silent man who is ginormous. Listen to the speech below and take note of the Septon's use of the word 'hound'.

So there's a good chance The Hound was saved by the Septon and brought back to his monastery.

Cool, huh?
