We love how every year new Indian faces are spotted on the red carpet at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. It's not just a proud moment for us, but it also puts Bollywood on an international map. For many years now (two decades to be precise) Aishwarya Rai has held the fort for the industry, she was then joined by Sonam Kapoor (who did helluva job, courtesy her sartorial sense!), and we keep spotting the likes of Vidya Balan, Kalki Koechlin, Anurag Kashyap, Irrfan Khan, Richa Chaddha and more. And just last year, the gorgeous Katrina Kaif also made her debut at the Cannes Film Festival, which got us mighty excited for we love to see what different actor bring to the red carpet, fashion wise.

However, due to prior shoot commitments, Ms Kaif won't be able to make it to the film festival this year. She said, "Cannes is a fabulous platform for any artist to attend, and I really enjoyed the experience last year. While the brand invited me to attend Cannes again this year, I have had to regretfully decline the opportunity due to prior commitments." She added, "This has been an enormously busy year for me so far, and I am working on some amazing projects which are really keeping me on my toes."

Well, we can only hope that she makes it to the festival next year!
