Ever heard of a company called Soul Pancake? If you haven't you should look them up right now. Soul Pancake is a media and entertainment company that, in their own words, "makes stuff that matters". From digital to television to even branded content, every concept is targeted to the Optimistic Millennial. Every piece of content is uplifting, meaningful, and emotional.
In their latest video for their 0-100 series (a series where people of all ages answer the same question), Soul Pancake asked a whole bunch of people aged from 5 years old to 105 years old about what was the best advice you've ever received. The responses they got were real eye-openers. Check it out:
Here's the response of the oldest person in the group, he's a 105 years old. "Take care of your children."
And here's what the youngest (a five-year-old) had to say: "Listen and learn, and be nice."
Now I know it sounds like any other social experiment. But the most interesting thing about this one is that is debunks one of the biggest stereotypes: the older you get, the wiser you become.
Believe it or not, some of the best advice in the video was stuff like:
"Treated people how you want to be treated."
"Just be myself, honestly, and don't care what people say."
"Trust your heart and follow it."
Don't give up."
And these all came from kids aged between 5 and 9. Still think you need to be old to be wise?
It's amazing to see how perspectives change with each generation, and what's important for those generations also changes. Soul Pancake's 0-100 series does just that. It asks people of all ages to answer questions that are important and relevant in today's world.
Enlightening, isn't it? So, what's the best advice you've ever gotten?
