Our favourite influencers tell us their beauty bag staples

Social media has become a smorgasbord of information for all things beauty. It’s great to have all that knowledge at the tip of our fingers, but it can get extremely confusing to differentiate the products worth investing in from those that are all show and no work. We’ve all been down the beauty reels rabbit hole. Hours and hours spent watching videos of product benefits and makeup tutorial just trying to make sense of it all, but more often than not, it’s to no avail. It takes a whole lot of trial and error to pick and choose your go-to products and that volume of information doesn't help at all. So, we did some legwork to help you navigate the many options—we asked 10 of our favourite influencers to share their beauty bag staples.

Perfume has to be my beauty bag’s staple. My go-to is the Versace Bright Crystal Eau de Toilette Rollerball. It’s compact and fits in any bag I choose. I also feel more confident when I am wearing it.

It has to be the Live Tinted Huestick(s). My dear friend, Deepica (Mutyala) gave them to me a few months ago, and they haven't left my side since. I love how they work anywhere and everywhere without a fuss.

I carry my world in my beauty bag; I like to have multiple options in every category. However, some products have stayed in my beauty bag for years. I love the Kosas Cosmetics’ Revealer Concealer and the Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder because it feels like nothing on my skin and that’s exactly what my dry skin needs. I also always have Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter face illuminator and their Pillow Talk Hyaluronic + Happikiss lipstick, the Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil in Rosewood shade, and the Clinique Almost Lipstick Black Honey.

I don't think I can leave my house without my lip and cheek tint from Benefit Cosmetics and my Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Lightweight Sunscreen Spray. You will never be unprepared with these versatile and essential products in your bag.

I have three things that I always carry in my beauty bag—either the Too Faced Melted Matte Lipstick-Sell Out or the Smashbox Always On Liquid Lip Stick-Driver’s Seat which I can use as a blush as well. It makes me feel fresh and pretty. I also carry the Kay Beauty HD Liquid Concealer to cover my dark circles, and the sunscreen by Aqualogica.

My beauty bag staples are uncountable but I’m going to list the most important ones. I can’t leave my house without my Photostable sunscreen, Fenty Beauty lipstick and Maybelline mascara. When I have a long day, I carry my Maybelline concealer, too, but I cannot do without the lipstick.

You’ll always find either the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer or the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Concealer in my bag. I also always carry the Kaja Beauty Cheeky Stamp, the Nudestix in my bag. The Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer, and the Moroccanoil hand cream are my summer staples.

You’ll find a few #debasreee liners in my bag since it’s so easy to glam up any look with them. I also carry the Dior lip Glow Oil, the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High mascara, the Fenty Beauty Invisimatte Instant Setting + Blotting Powder (In Mumbai, there is no way I can go around without having a blotting powder in my bag), Charlotte Tilbury’s Hyaluronic + Happikiss in pillow talk, the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water, and the Isdin Fotoprotector Fusion Water Sunscreen. Lastly, the Butter London Conditioning Drops for my nails as I’ve been trying to strengthen them.

The Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer (mini) and Bobbi Brown Skin Corrector Stick are my top picks. I also love the MAC Glow Play Lip Balm and the Makeup by Mario MoistureGlow Plumping Lip Serum in Bronze Glow. I also always carry a body mist with me and the Forest Essentials travel-size body mists in Iced Pomegranate and Kerala Lime is my current favourite. It’s incredibly light and fresh.

A good SPF is my Holy Grail beauty product. I never step out without it. My beauty bag also always has my Estée Lauder Resilience Lift Night cream; it has been a game-changer for me. I also swear by the L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Hyaluronic Aacid serum, the makeup-setting face mist from Charlotte Tilbury and the almond oil from Forest Essentials.

In my beauty bag, you will always find the Dot & Key Gloss Boss, a tinted lip balm with SPF. It protects the lips from painful dryness caused by overexposure to the sun. I also always carry the cream blush from Milk Makeup Cosmetics which leaves a natural-looking flush on the cheeks and it can also be used as an eyeshadow. Two other products that I swear by are the lip gloss from Fenty Beauty and the clear mascara by e.l.f Cosmetics.
