Beauty lovers, rejoice! Pantone has recently announced ‘Mocha Mousse’, a soft elegant brown, as its Color of the Year for 2025 and there’s nothing we don’t love about this delicious neutral tone. Pantone’s website describes the shade as “a warming, brown hue imbued with richness,” further adding that it nurtures us with its suggestion of the delectable qualities of chocolate and coffee, answering our desire for comfort.
Now, it was only recently that brown-toned makeup trends – like ‘latte makeup’, with Hailey Bieber showing us how it’s done, and then the deeper ‘espresso makeup’ – whipped up a storm on the Internet and went seriously viral. Not to mention another classic ‘90s beauty trend, iconic brown lips, made a comeback and how this year! We think the #MochaMousse beauty look will be a stunning progression from these. And let’s not forget that a gorgeous shade like this is also super brown girl-friendly and will work beautifully on Indian skin tones.
