Actor Kartik Aaryan seems to have had an amazing surprise after recently recovering from Covid-19. After 3 months of wait, he has finally managed to bring his swanky Lamborghini Urus car worth Rs 4.5 crore from Italy to Mumbai. It is also being reported that his SSUV had to be airlifted from Italy for an extra half a crore to get the car earlier.
This ride is called the SSUV or Super Sports Utility vehicle that combines the style of a swanky super sports car with the functionality of an SUV. Lamborghini claims it to be one of the first of its kind in the world!
Touted to be one of the fastest SSUVs, the manufacturers claim, "Powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine producing 650 CV and 850 Nm of torque, Urus accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 3.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 190 mph."
Inspired by fighter jets, the SSUV’s interior has special switchgear complete with the plush signature Lamborghini details.
Even though Lambos are usually considered 2-seaters, this one has rear passenger seating with their own temperature setting through climate control and heated seats!
Unlike the steering system in conventional cars that allow the front two wheels to set the direction a car can go in, this baby packs a punch with its 4-wheel steering system. This means that at high speed all four wheels work in tandem making the vehicle better while cornering. Meanwhile, at cruising speed, the rear wheels go against the front ones allowing the SSUV to navigate in tight spaces.
With all the speed that this car packs, it also has a powerful braking system. According to stats, the vehicle has giant brakes that bring the Urus from a speed of 100 kilometres per hour to a complete stop in only 33.7 meters.
The SSUV comes with six driving modes, can you guess which one would be more suitable in Mumbai? : STRADA: For comfortable driving, SPORT: For more agility and performance driving, CORSA: For precise and maximum output of the SUV, NEVE: For Slippery surfaces, TERRA: For maximum comfort in off-road conditions, SABBIA: For dry and sand surfaces, EGO: For auto selector according to the condition.
Lamborghini usually names their supercars inspired by cattle breeds and this one is christened after the extinct wild ox breed, Aurochs. According to Wikipedia, this breed was probably exterminated in Britain in the Bronze Age, and the last one was killed in Poland in 1627.
With his latest splurge, Kartik Aaryan has joined the illustrious list of proud Urus owners such as Mukesh Ambani (who has a dark blue one), Rohit Shetty (repping in bright yellow) and Ranveer Singh (fire-engine red!).
