Amitabh Bachchan owns a property called 'Janak'—which means father—that is in close proximity to his family home, Jalsa. Amitabh Bachchan's first real estate purchase in the Juhu Area of Mumbai, 'Prateeksha' happens to be the home he shared with his parents, Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan. Understandably, the property hold sentimental value, and is apparently not more than a kilometer away from Jalsa. Reportedly, the actor still visits the house every single day after her morning walk and has preserved his parents’ rooms just the way it was, when they were alive. Reportedly, Big-B owns a lavish property in Paris as well—a gift from his wife, Jaya Bachchan!

Following their father's footsteps, Aishwarya and Abhishek have also invested in real estate overseas. The couple own a stunning villa in Jumeirah’s Golf Estates area, in Dubai. Reportedly, the place is developed by Shaikh Holdings and is home to an 180-hole championship, a swimming pool, and other state-of-the-art amenities.

'Vatsa', which means calf, is another much-smaller property owned by Amitabh Bachchan in the Juhu Area. Reportedly, the property has been leased out to Citibank India.

As early as December of last year, Amitabh Bachchan purchased a 5,184 sq.ft property in Mumbai’s Andheri suburb, that got registered in the month of April, 2021. The property is located on the 27th and 28th floors, and comes with six car parks!

'Jalsa', the Bachchan family home in Juhu, Mumbai, was a gift from director Ramesh Sippy. Currently, the entire family—including Amitabh, Jaya, Abhishek, Aishwarya, and granddaughter Aaradhya—reside in this swanky property. According to Mid-day, the property is valued at a whooping Rs. 112 crore, and holds multiple bedrooms, a spacious backyard, a living room, an expansive garden, and a lot more! Offering a regal vibe, several star-studded parties have been hosted in this home.

One of the key highlights of the family property is a traditional South-Indian Tanjore painting with intricate gold details. Besides, the residential abode boasts of luxe decor accents including metallic fixtures, traditional motifs, and plush wooden furnishings that add a touch of warmth to the space.

According to Times of India, Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan have also bought an 8000 sq.ft bungalow right behind Jalsa. This decision was apparently taken to extend the area of their existing property.
