Revealed: There's A New Girl On Board For Student of The Year 2

Ever since Karan Johar announced the sequel of the 2012 movie, Student Of The Year, the tittle-tattle about who will play the lead, haven't been settled down. Karan has left no stones unturned to make it one of the most anticipated movies of 2018. With names like Disha Patani, Sara Ali Khan, Ananya Panday to star opposite Tiger Shroff since almost a year have been making rounds, it has finally been revealed who will play the female lead in this rom-com.

According to reports from a leading daily, SOTY 2 will have two female lead actors, unlike its prequel which had two male leads. Chunky Panday's daughter, Ananya Panday had been already finalised for the lead role.

Reportedly, Karan auditioned close to 800 girls for the part and has finalised Ananya. In a statement to a leading daily, a source said, "Karan, Tiger Shroff and director Punit Malhotra were present at the audition where Ananya was asked to read out Alia's lines from Student Of The Year. And Ananya sailed through like a professional."

The other lead actress who has been finalised is Tara Sutaria! The former Disney Channel India alumnus has worked on shows like The Suit Life of Karan & Kabir, Oye Jassie, and Shake It Up, and even the reality show, Entertainment Ke Lie Kuch Bhi Karega as a teenager. Tara is not new to the acting world and is a professional dancer and musician, which has further raised our excitement to see her onscreen with Tiger and Ananya.

The movie will hit the theatres on November 23rd, 2018 and will also have Alia Bhatt in a special appearance!
