According to the New England Genealogical Society, the Duchess of Cambridge and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres are 15th cousins. Their relative connection is Sir Thomas Fairfax and his wife, Agnes Gascoigne, who lived during the 1500s.

Johnny Depp is 20th cousins with Queen Elizabeth II as they both share the same great (18 times over) grandfather.

These famous actor siblings are related King Edward III of England, who reigned from 1327 to 1377. The relation stems from their father's side of the family.

And actress/singer, Hilary Duff, is also related to King Edward III. She is his 10th great-granddaughter and also an 18th cousin to Queen Elizabeth.

But that's not it. Apparently King Edward III had strong genes because actor Michael Douglas is also his relative—and Queen Elizabeth's 19th cousin.

You might remember "Edward Longshanks" from his depiction in Braveheart. His real name was King Edward I of England, who ruled from 1272 to 1307, and he is a 21st cousin of Uma Thurman.

You have to go way back to King Henry II, who ruled England from 1154 to 1189, if you want to know Brad Pitt's 25th cousin.

It turns out, Paris Hilton isn't just a socialite, but also royal. She's a descendent of King Henry II of England through her father, Rick Hilton.

Tom Hanks is a relative of King John of England, who ruled from 1199 to1216, through his father's side of the family.

Actor Hugh Grant is the ancestor of King Henry VII through his mother's side. He ruled over England from 1485 to 1509 and was the monarch of the House of Tudor.
