Citrine Yellow: A warm happy colour that looks especially great against sun-kissed bronze skin. So if you have got that summer tan, this is the colour to complement it with. “This works well as the primary colour in your outfit, keep it closest to your face for maximum impact. For instance, wear it in shirts, tunics, jackets, and saris,” suggests Payal. Citrine works best with ivory and sapphire, so pair it accordingly.
Scarlet Red or Fuschia: “Silks will look even more striking in these colours, but cottons, linens, and khadi work well too,” says Payal. For summers choose a comfortable fabric. Fuschia and scarlets offset each other nicely, Payal recommends you team your separates within this palette and add neutrals like ivory and a coffee bean brown to tone it down.
Saphire Blue: This colour at the cool end of the colour spectrum looks elegant and is easy to carry off. “Sapphires look great when teamed with an emerald,” says Payal.
Vivid Violet: A captivating colour that’s sure to draw attention. According to Payal it works well with scarlet as well as citrine.
Chatreuse: Its a great colour to show off your sculpted collarbones and summer tans. Payal suggests you pair the leafy green colour with a cerulean blue for maximum impact. Accessorise with some vintage silver or minimal or modern brass jewellery, before you step out.
