A modest window dresser at a department store in Germany to one of the greatest fashion photographers in the world—Peter Lindbergh’s life was no less iconic than the images he created. With a career spanning three decades, he is known to have ushered in the 90’s ‘supermodel’ era pretty much by himself, immortalising many a model (read Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Cindy Crawford and the like) through his black and white lens. He’s also credited with rejecting glossy perfection, refusing to retouch images, and capturing subjects in their truest, minimal element.
