VPOTUS, Kamala Harris opted for a full look by the 2020 CFDA American Emerging Designer of the Year, Christopher John Rogers. She went on to accessorise her look with pearls by Puerto Rican-American designer Wilfredo Rosado. She also adorned a David Yurman lapel pin featuring the American flag, and Manolo Blahnik heels with the double-breasted royal purple coat and dress. Beyond making a major fashion statement, Kamala's choice of colour seems to be a gentle nod to the Women's Suffrage movement.

The youngest poet in American history to mark the transition of presidential power, Amanda Gorman delivered a powerful original poem, 'The Hill We Climb' on Inauguration day. She wore a sunny yellow double-breasted coat over a white poplin shirt and a black leather pencil skirt, accessorising it with a fiery-red satin headband and black leather pumps; all Prada. She also wore a symbolic ring with a caged bird and earrings gifted by Oprah.
