The fashion world has been busy, and we’ve been loving every minute of it. From big designer moves to iconic comebacks and cool new launches, there’s been a lot going on. Here’s everything you need to know (and probably add to cart).

Screaming, crying, etc

Unless you’re living under a rock, you may already know that Italian designer Pierpaolo Piccioli will be taking over as the creative director of Balenciaga, effective July 10. Piccioli (who has previously been the creative director of Valentino) will be unveiling his first collection for the Spanish brand in October during Paris Fashion Week. The 57-year-old designer has succeeded the controversial Georgian designer, Demna, at the helm, and all we want to say is that anticipation isn’t enough of a word!

They’ve done it again

Italian luxury fashion house Bottega Veneta’s Pre-Fall’25 collection is out, and we’re calling it right now: You’re going to be seeing them e-v-e-r-yw-h-e-r-e. This season, the brand is presenting a bold reawakening of that 80s glamour, where cool meets craft. Expect elongated silhouettes, sculptural tailoring, and rich, tactile textures. Can we afford it? No. But are we strong enough to withhold from adding everything to our cart. No again!

Messika takes Delhi

Exactly what the world needed at this point—there is a new jewellery store in town! And a Parisian one at that. Messika has opened its first standalone boutique in India at The Chanakya mall in New Delhi. This landmark launch also coincides with the brand’s 20th anniversary. The boutique will showcase the full spectrum of the Maison’s creations—from everyday jewellery to fine and high jewellery collections. Three letters: WOW.

BRB, making some space in our closet

The omnipresent footwear brand, Converse, is scratching an itch we didn’t even know there was. It’s making sure we don’t miss the Y2K era with our heart and sole. The lifestyle brand has relaunched its iconic knee-high Chucks, and obsessed doesn’t even begin to describe what we (and the Internet) are feeling. Who knew the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star XXHi, aka the ‘Knee-High’, which was first launched in 2006, still had so many takers?

His job is beach

When Indian cricketer KL Rahul isn’t on the field making runs for the country, you can find him being the face of Paul & Shark. The Italian luxury clothing brand has recently announced Rahul as their global ambassador—huge, as he is the first-ever Indian athlete to be named one. Their latest Spring/Summer campaign celebrates the brand’s DNA— unbridled love for the sea, a fusion of technical innovation and craftsmanship, and a balance between heritage and modernity—while launching Rahul as their newest face.

In Kim, we trust

Count on American socialite and businesswoman Kim Kardashian to always have our backs. Her intimate and loungewear brand, SKIMS, has released a three-colour collection of The Ultimate Pierced Nipple Push-Up Bra (yes, really). Haven’t we all wanted to get our nipples pierced after American-Palestinian model Bella Hadid flaunted hers on the cover of an American magazine in 2016? Just us? Well, either way, you can get them, minus the pain, and just so you know, they are removable too. *Adds to cart IMMEDIATELY*
