13 Best-Dressed Celebrities at Fashion Week

Some of the loveliest looks were found off the runway.

Kate Spade often pairs her preppy-chic ensembles with uber-whimsical accessories, but the best way to wear those is with restraint: as part of an outfit that is, itself, straight-faced. Freida delivered here by looking totally immaculate in a white dress, which let her sparkly shoes — which bore a taxicab design — do just the right amount of talking.

Jennifer Hudson made it to several shows this Fashion Week, and there was always a moment of delight from the rest of the show-goers when they saw her — there is something undeniably thrilling about getting to take in a fashion show with a proper A-list celeb, especially given that Fashion Week's front rows looked unusually anemic this season. But, while we're as thrilled as anyone to welcome an Oscar winner to our midst, we were extra pleased to see her sporting such a rad coat.

Willow (Prim in the Hunger Games trilogy) has a flamboyant sense of style, which was in evidence in the many and varied front rows she populated this week. Our favorite of her getups — well, maybe aside from the Sandy-in-Grease curls she teased up for Jill Stuart — was this feathery, floaty cocktail dress, paired with an edgier jacket and shoes we hope were as comfortable as they are gorgeous. If they're not, and she needs to offload them, we volunteer as tributes.

Jaime had a jam-packed Fashion Week schedule as well. But Wu has long appeared to be one of her favorite designers, so it's fitting that we liked her outfit from his show the best. That's the kind of lovely, extremely professional day dress that makes us wish we didn't work from home (and then, when we recall the price tag, bummed he hasn't made a diffusion line of yoga pants).

Serayah repped the Swift Squad at several shows this week — some alongside fellow member Jaime King — but she did herself some big favors too. This simple but snazzy red dress is an absolute standout. Taylor, who knows a thing or two about reds, surely would have approved.

Every season there are a few celebs who feel like they're really making the rounds — hustling for a new job, perhaps? Reminding the public they're still alive? Just really desperate to get out of the house? Who knows. This February, the Bos was definitely on that list, if not atop it. Her best outing, in our book, was in these spicy, slick red and leather separates, which brought just the right touch of science-fiction to the proceedings. Something we didn't know we wanted until right now.

The actress from The Americans has been stuck in drab prison-gear for her recent spate of episodes, so it's little wonder she decided to hit the scene in something this vibrant. It was a rainy, blustery day, too, so we appreciated the extra sunshine, even if it was only available to us indoors.

She looks like she's wearing fancy tile. That's a compliment. (We're really into fancy tile; isn't everyone?)

Cush is our new obsession, thanks to a regular role on The Good Wife in its current and final season. This is the first time we've seen her outside her character's lively patterned duds, and we're liking the aura: It's super relaxed, but put-together nonetheless. Now if only we had a sidewalk cafe we could wear this to. Say, in Paris.

On anyone else, this wouldn't be our jam, but Solange has the power to make odd proportions seem totally sane.

We honestly could have spotlighted almost everyone at this show, because they all trotted out the best of what designer Deborah Lloyd had to offer. But Freida got the nod for her shoes, and Jamie, for sporting both stripes and sequins. Our inner magpies just swooned.

Patina, best remembered for her Tony-award-winning turn in Pippin, would charm in these blue separates alone. It's the contrasting shoes, though, that prove she's still got plenty of magic to do. (Oh, come on, you knew we couldn't resist a musical theater joke.)

We're not entirely sure what's happening on Sienna's feet, but we're just going to trust her that they're in good hands … to mix anatomy metaphors. Otherwise, this is chic on her; also, frankly we're just happy to see that some of the A-listers still want to bring their star power to Fashion Week. Here's hoping the Emmy nominees in September do what the Oscar candidates didn't this time around, and come out to play.
