13 Monsoon Plants to Get for Your Indoor Garden

From fragrant jasmine flowers and spider lillies to colourful moss roses and zinnias - take your pick of gorgeous blooms to plant during the rainy season.

JASMINE: These fragrant beauties require a moist but not soggy soil. The monsoon months are ideal to plant this bloom but make sure they do get a decent amount of sun for 5-6 hours.
HIBISCUS: A nutrient-hungry plant, you need to feed and water your Hibiscuses well if you want gorgeous blooms. They thrive in moderate sunlight.
SPIDER LILLY: A plant with rather fancy, fragrant blooms, make sure you give it pleant of sunlight and water. Ideally, plant these bulbs in a location that gets morning sun.
ZINNIA: These colourful blooms love water but make sure to keep their foliage dry and get ample sun. Once mature, you can decrease the watering sessions.
PORTULACA: Another colourful addition to this edit, these can be grown from cutting or seeds. They are fairly fuss-free and enjoy sandy soils and watering. However, they can get pretty invasive so, make sure to weed out if you spot one in your other plant pots.
COCKSCOMB: A hardy plant, they are a great way to add a colour-pop in your garden. Make sure the soil is moist and the plant gets ample amount of sun.
BUSH CLOCKVINE/KING'S-MANTLE: All this gorgeous bloom requires is partial sun and moist, fertile, well-drained soil.
BOUGAINVILLEA: Monsoon is the perfect time to grown bougainvillea cutting. All you need is to sink it in a pot of perlite and peat mixed with soil in equal quantity. Keep it in partial shade and water as per usual.
ROSE: Another cutting that thrives during rainy season, keep it in partial shade and moist.
ADENIUM: This baby requires a lilttle fungicide action during rains to make sure you get gorgeous blooms.
FERNS: Kepp them in partial sunlight and lots of watering for happy ferns.
MONEY PLANT: A complete water-baby, make sure the post has sandy, peat-moss-based soil.
BALSAM: They are happiest during monsoon but make sure you give them some TLC in the form of manure.
