Ahmedabad is set for a bold culinary explosion as Sora, brought to the city by the renowned Mann & Salwa—a well-established name in Ahmedabad's culinary world—makes its debut as the city’s first Asian-Peruvian restaurant, promising a dazzling fusion of vibrant flavours and unforgettable dining experiences. With every detail thoughtfully curated, Sora aims to take diners on a journey where bold cuisine meets immersive ambience.
Exquisite flavours and an innovative culinary experience are on the horizon, as affirmed by Ridhi Choudhary, CEO of Mann & Salwa, who expresses her excitement for what’s to come:
“Our vision for Sora has always been to create an experience that is both exhilarating and comforting. We set out to reimagine exceptional food, beverages, and hospitality, making them more accessible, memorable, and infused with soul. Ahmedabad, with its deep appreciation for fine food and culture, now welcomes a new dimension to its dining landscape. With Sora, we bring the finest of Asian-Peruvian cuisine, thoughtfully designed interiors, and immersive hospitality—enriching the city’s vibrant culinary culture.”
Sora, which translates to “sky” in Japanese, spans an impressive 11,000 square feet and is set to deliver an extraordinary experience, where every plate tells a story of bold flavours and meticulous craftsmanship.
“At Sora, the design isn’t about spectacle but resonance. Every curve, texture, and material was chosen to echo the food—disciplined yet quietly expressive. The aim was to create an atmosphere of curiosity and calm, timeless yet deeply personal.”
The interiors are an extension of what’s on their plate. Harmonising Asian precision with the soulful energy of Peruvian flavours, the design embodies clarity and meticulous attention to detail.
With Chef Sadik as Culinary Mentor at Sora, guests can expect dishes inspired by the lively spirit of Peruvian gastronomy, layered with complexity and designed to engage the senses with every bite. Expect the unexpected at Sora, where three distinct kinds of ceviche await: the tropical sweetness of Mango, the classic depth of Clasico de la Casa, and the earthy richness of Mushroom. Each bite is a carefully crafted exploration of texture and flavour, setting the tone for a dining experience that surprises and delights at every turn.
Guests should also not miss interactive experiences such as the Yuzu Panca Siphon Soup, assembled tableside, and the hot-stone Bibimbap, where flavours beautifully reveal themselves before the guest.
The cocktail menu is another highlight. With Sanyog Nikharge as Head Mixologist, each drink is crafted with its ingredients at the heart.
Their drinks are an experience in themselves. From clever takes on classics to bold new creations, every cocktail tells its own story. Highlights include the Yubari Nectar, a crisp homage to Japan’s prized melon guided by the principle of kanso; the Sushi Highball, layered with yuzu, apple, and gari; and the 28th Hong Kong Street, a clarified ice cream soda elevated with beer and strawberry sorbet.
Sora is more than a restaurant; it’s a vibrant blend of Asian-Peruvian flavours, innovative drinks, and striking interiors. A dining experience that’s bound to leave a lasting impression with every bite and sip.
