15 of The Richest Fictional Characters Ever

For years we've dreamt about swapping lives with the world's richest people, just to see how the other half lives, even for a day. (Just imagine the crazy home amenities we'd have at our disposal.)

But our day dreams may be misplaced, considering the fictional world is full of crazy rich characters who also get to live their lives as vampires, or superheroes, or animated animals.

Lottoland, a U.K.-based lottery site, took a dive into the bank accounts of some of our favorite fictional friends — taking into account the fictional fortunes reported by Forbes and The Richest — to find out how much these 15 characters are worth.

In short: These guys are the richest of the rich.

Topping the list is none other than Scrooge McDuck from "Ducktales." The self-made duck is the proud owner of a fortune worth £44.1 billion British pounds, or over 4,247 crore INR (approx.). No wonder he feels comfortable treating his money like a swimming pool:

A little farther down the list, in the fifth spot, is Charles Foster Kane from the revered film "Citizen Kane." Unsurprisingly, the newspaper man has a large fortune of £7.7 billion British pounds, or about 741 crore INR.

And rounding out the list at 14 and 15 respectively are two of our favorite 1920s characters: Lady Mary Crawley from "Downton Abbey" with £7.5 million British pounds, or about 72 crore INR, and Jay Gatsby with £6.8 million British pounds, or 60 crore INR (approx.).

Mr. Monopoly and "Game Of Thrones'" Tywin Lanister also make appearances on the list. See how more of your favorite fictional rich people stack up in the infographic below.
